Amplifying Impact: Developing Indicators of Public Value in Public Communication from Axel Bruns

The Cooperative Research Centres Association, along with The Conversation, is supporting a QUT project to investigate the contribution of ‘amplifier’ platforms to the impact of scholarly public intellectual outputs on public debate and career profile. The project will identify and map the forms of public engagement which modern impact metrics need to address, from viewing media materials through sharing and discussing ideas to generating new content. It will also develop and deploy new indicators, including metrics, for public engagement.
