Power Now, Power Wow

Snurb — Wednesday 18 August 2004 21:32
Mobile and Wireless Technologies | ISEA 2004 | Conferences |

(That headline with apologies to Roland Orzabal.)

I'm really quite impressed with the battery life of my laptop (a Toshiba Portege provided by QUT), but even 5 hours aren't enough to blog a whole conference day without recharging. And that's a problem here in the Kosmos theatre at ISEA - there's only one public power point in the foyer area which is practically constantly occupied. I've snuck into one of the auditoria now - recharging as we speak. If only it was as easy to get over jet- and ferry-lag - I'm still feeling like I'm on a ship. Just before, the doors of the auditorium were open and the trees outside were swinging in the breeze - and I had the sensation of being back on the ship, with the scenery moving past me.
